[HSE] Health and Safety at Work - First Aid Training
This four day first aid course with HSE accreditation carries full certification which is valid for a period of three years. It is suitable for anyone who has volunteered or been nominated by their employer to fulfil the statutory duty of care as laid down by the Health & Safety Executive (First Aid Regulations 1981).

[HSE] Health and Safety at Work - First Aid Training
This two day first aid course is a requirement of the full FAW course. This will allow re-qualifications for further three years and conforms with the statutory duty of care as laid down by the Health & Safety Executive (First Aid Regulations 1981). All candidates must be in possession of a valid H&S at work certificate.

[HSE] Emergency First Aid (EFA)
There is a requirement of the Health & Safety at work act 1981 “an appointed person” who is able to deal with an emergency situation until more qualified help arrives on scene and deliver emergency first aid. We are pleased to announce that we will be running these courses in your area to cover your requirements.

[SIA] BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors
Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, all door supervisors must hold a licence to practise. In order to qualify for a licence to practise, an applicant must hold the BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors, or equivalent, which consists of two units:

Unit 1 - Roles and Responsibilities of Door Supervisors:
This includes how to comply with the law, admission policies and procedures, refusing entry, searching, seizing articles, eviction, use of force, offensive weapons, how to deal with emergencies, drugs, arrest, scene preservation, and report writing.

Unit 2 - Conflict Management for Door Supervisors:
This includes how candidates can manage conflict by applying dynamic risk approaches, understanding the importance of self-awareness and acting proactively; how to resolve conflict and how to learn from conflict.
[SIA] BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders
The BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders has been specifically designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003. The Act staets that anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol will have to hold a personal licence, and that in order to qualify for a personal licence, an applicant must hold a relevant licensing qualification.
[SIA] BIIAB Aware in Conflict Management
The BIIAB Aware in Conflict Management helps staff, whose work involves the provision of services to the public, to avoid and manage conflict within their work environment. This aware has been designed in conjunction with conflict management specialists in the licensed retail sector. Incidents of workplace violence can range from the relatively minor problems of customers causing nuisance in a premises, for example through unacceptable levels of swearing, to serious incidents involving physical abuse and damage to property.
[SIA] BIIAB Scottish Licensee’s Certificate in Drugs Awareness
The BIIAB Scottish Licensee’s Certificate in Drugs Awareness caters for the differences in law for Scotland.
[SIA] BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Licensees (Drugs Awareness)
This qualification provides licensed retailers and managers of all types of licensed premises, from the small country pub to the inner city club venue, with an awareness of the illegal drugs scene. It provides operational guidelines to help prevent drug problems arising, and also tactics to enable licensed retailers to deal with such problems, should they arise.
[SIA] BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners
The BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners has been developed in conjunction with Local Authority Co-ordinators of Regulatory Services (LACORS), and is designed for local authority licensing officers and those responsible for the administration of the Licensing Act 2003. The qualification ensures that those involved in the review and approval of personal and premises licences are aware of their role and practice under the Licensing Act 2003 and the associated Guidance and Regulations. It covers all aspects of the process including application, determination, hearing and appeal processes and procedures, the duties of applicants, and the powers and rights of the relevant authorities to enter and close licensed premises.
[SIA] BIIAB National Certificate for Designated Premises Supervisors
This qualification is designed for those responsible for the day-to-day management of licensed premises, and who, in line with the Licensing Act 2003, provide the single point of accountability for those premises.
The BIIAB National Certificate for Designated Premises Supervisors provides information relating to the legal framework for the role, plus other relevant legislation, and the responsibilities of the designated premises supervisor in relation to the operating schedule for the licensed premises. The qualification also includes best practice guidelines for responsible retailing including the responsible promotion of alcohol.

[Misc.] British Safety Council Award – H&S at Work
The Level 1 Certificate in Health and Safety at Work
This generic course is aimed at organisations, employers and individuals from a cross section of working backgrounds.
It is acknowledged throughout industry that many absences/accidents through work related injuries can be avoided through comprehensive training & education.
This one day course provides personnel with a basic knowledge of health & safety issues in the workplace, candidates will recognise how their actions contribute to effective health & safety compliance coupled with a clear understanding of both the employer & employees duty of care.
This rewarding course is modular based (see below) and provides a unique opportunity for all employers to formalise health and safety induction training into a nationally recognised transferable qualification.
The certificate is based on the national occupational standards and is accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) at level 1 in the National Qualifications Framework.

NARS (National Rescue Standard)
Courses available:
STA Level 2 Certificate for National Rescue Standard – Pool Lifeguard (NaRS[PL])
This course is fully accredited by The Swimming Teachers Association (STA) and is approx 32 - 40 hrs duration, this course is designed to the National Rescue Standard (NARS) and is fully certificated for 2 years, this course will give you the necessary information, knowledge and training to ensure full competence in all aspects of the role of Pool Lifeguard.
STA Level 2 Certificate for National Rescue Standard – Pool Attendant (NaRS[PA])
This course is fully accredited by The Swimming Teachers Association (STA) and is 16hrs in duration; the course is designed to the National Rescue Standard (NARS) and will provide you with the necessary information, knowledge and training to ensure full competence in all aspects of the role of Pool Attendant.

[Misc.] Fire Safety - Fire Warden Training
This short (4 - 6 hour) Fire Safety Training course is aimed at personnel who have been, or are going to be, appointed as Fire Wardens/Marshall’s within their work environment. It will enable each student on completion of the course, to demonstrate knowledge of fire safety, managing incidents and the use of different types of extinguishers.
The course is fully certificated with continuous assessment carried out by the course facilitators and is valid for a period of one year.

[Misc.] Fire Safety - Fire Awareness Training
This short 2 hour course is designed to meet requirements under the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997/99 and the Fire Precautions Act 1971.
The Fire Safety Awareness course is aimed at all levels of personnel. Students attending will gain the necessary knowledge of fire safety and how to use different types of extinguishers.
The course is fully certificated with continuous assessment carried out by the course facilitators and is valid for a period of one year.
