First Aid Instructors
Applicants should possess the necessary HSE-approved qualifications to teach First Aid at Work and Moving & Handling:
- A current F.A.W. certificate, or if exempted, a current United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing (UKCC) registration certificate or proof of membership of the General Medical Council (GMC).
- A certificate showing a training qualification. HSE will also consider relevant experience detail in the Curriculum Vitae/Portfolio.
- A Curriculum Vitae or similar document detailing general skills, experience etc. of training which has been applied to teaching and First Aid in the workplace over the previous three years. During that period, suitable candidates have conducted a minimum of two practical and two theoretical teaching sessions where they have been assessed by a qualified assessor.
