This is clinical training of seven weeks duration and includes theoretical and practical assessments in a classroom setting. Certification is not immediately issued on successful completion of the seven week course. The trainee must go on to complete and log 750 hours of clinical experience to gain the full award. No specific qualifications are required to attend this course. If becoming a Paramedic is your ultimate goal, this qualification allows you to apply for a one year, part-time university Paramedic course after gaining some clinical experience.
The Ambulance Technician course covers Module D (three weeks), E (two weeks), and F (two weeks) of the syllabus. You must pass each module before you can proceed to the next module.
Price for individual candidates is £3960 (including VAT) per full course.
Prices for organisations wishing to train multiple candidates are available on application. If you would like to book a combined Ambulance Technician and Emergency driving course of 10 weeks duration, the price is £6600 (including VAT).
